Not depending on what or for whom we want it for, there must be a specific recipe to success. Maybe a top secret sauce to A's in physics? A mystery topping to score in additional mathematics? Or even a rare spice to ace in Biology?
Nope, I'm afraid there aren't any specific ingredients and I'll tell you why. It is because the perfect recipes to success vary in different ways!
We don't have to stick to one recipe because we are indeed unique in our own way. We can create our own recipes and lead ourselves to success using our own ingredients!
And in this entry, I'll share a bit of mine 😋
My Study tips for SPM.
1. Prepare one exercise book for past year exam papers (mine is a hardcover)
I had mine divided equally for Biology, Physics, Biology, History, and Islamic Religion.
I made checklists for the past SPM papers for each subject.By doing so, I get to track my past year exercises in an organized way!
*example for objective section (get it ready for each year)
2. As we all know, we can easily find thousands of exercise books whether it be Pelangi, Sasbadi, Oxford Fajar, or many other brands. The tip is to not doing objective exercises in the question book (this one is a tip from my senior). What's even better is when you practise this together with your circle of friends (maybe just a small group)
Why?
- You can exchange books among your friends and have the chance to answer questions from boatloads kind of approach.
- You can do the exercises as many times as you want
- It helps you remember when you re-do the exercises
- You can donate the books to your junior or siblings when you're done using it. Great!
p/s: It also applies to subjective questions
3. Focusing in class may sound cliche but it is a very effective way to actually understand a topic. Believe me, it is the easiest way to study when you focus on what the teachers are talking during class.
4. Developing a liking to what you are learning in class benefits in a way that no one could ever imagine. Because by loving the subjects, you will study for knowledge and not just for A's solely.
These are just a few of my tips that I practised during my SPM days and Alhamdulillah,
the tips and routine worked well for me.
So, what's your recipe? 😊
