JCorp Interview Part II

JCorp Part II - The Interview

We are back to this entry guys!

Okay for this part I am going to make it brief and simple. After lunch, we were required to gather in one room for a short explanation about the interview. Then, we headed to our respective interview room and waited for our turn which turned out to be in alphabetical orders. Just nice.

Mine starts with an N so of course, I was far from being the first one to enter. Why would anyone care about the order, duh? It's because when you're done with your interview, you can go straight back home. Okay, now you understand.

So, for the next 2 hours, I was just sitting there, feeling somewhat nervous. After a while, my anxiety and nervousness de-escalated because the quiet atmosphere made me feel sleepy. I was so messed up. 😳 I tried to mingle with other applicants (trying to step out of my comfort zone) and we did chat and gossiped to kill time. It was so much fun getting to know these great people here.

Hours passed and it was finally my turn. A woman collected my file and minutes after that, she called my name. I was sweating my shirt off and my heart could not beat any faster, I swear.

Some of the questions were:

"Tell us about yourself and your family background"

"What do you know about JCorp?"

"Tell us about a hard decision that you had made"

"Why actuarial science?"

"Both of your parents are quantity surveyors and parents are most likely to encourage their children to pursue the same path. But why don't you?"

Overall it went quite well for me. My memory about this particular interview is kinda rusty because I wrote this entry after a week from the day of the interview.

I am sorry for that but I hope this is enough to help you guys in any ways possible. Thank you for reading! Ciao
